air suspension question

Just wondering. Does it matter if your raise your car while moving at a very slow speed if u know there is a big bump ahead?

Also, any I'll effects on changing from sport 1,2 and comfort while regular driving?

Or all are these changes to be made while stopped?

I change all the time while moving, no problems.

Same here no issues. But I am wondering if down the line it's going to decrease the life of the suspension.

I, do change the settings on the move most of the time. For example, on my way home after a straight highway there is a 10 mile stretch of curvy road

in which I change the setting to Sport 2 from Comfort. Usually when I do the change it's around 65 mph speed.

i raise my car all the time when coming to my driveway..my tailpipes will drag if i don't...

Thanks guys. I'll feel more comfortable changing the settings now if I need to. Typically I keep my car in sport 1.

Find it the best of both worlds.

I heard it's good to exercise all the options at least once a month - even the lift :)

keeps the shocks nimble ;)

I change on the move everyday. When I forget to raise the body the sound of my brand new exhaust grinding on the first speed bump reminds me. My car is an '03 with 60k miles - that's ten years old - with no air suspension hassles. I get the fright of my life when I forget to lower it and race someone and the damn thing lowers itself automatically for more stability.

There is nothing wrong with adjusting your suspension while the car is moving.

everyday at different speeds, multiple times.

This is definitely a 2 person job - do not underestimate the implications, the safety to you, the environment and what it could do to your dog. Not even the Stig is so daring as to attempt this task all by himself - that should say it all!

American humour - love it.

Stupid question, and probably been asked/answered many times, but what actually changes when you cycle from Sport1/2 and comfort? I think I understand the raise lower button... :smash: :y

If you consider Comfort to be the "standard" ride height and "standard" shock stiffness, then...
Sport I is 10mm lower than Comfort and a slightly stiffer shock setting
Sport II is 10mm lower than Sport I and has the stiffest shock setting
