Sneakyneon's E55
I'm Brandon and I just wanted to introduce myself, been lurking the forum for a few months now and just haven't had the time to make a profile.
So my buddy Nick, sneakyneon, sold me his 2003 E55 this year. A lot of you know about this car, and what it puts down already
Mod List:
195mm pulley
85mm TB (82 bored)
Longtube Headers, no cats, 3" piping, OEM mufflers
Some light port matching and blending on the tanks and IC
Water/Meth
Trunk Mounted IceBox/Water Tank
Crankcase Evac
Inline fuel system, custom fuel rail, 550cc TTM injectors
Quaife LSD with upgraded 04'+ axles
Zeitronix Wideband
After running 17-18lbs of boost with the 195mm crank pulley, my heads started lifting. We just pulled the heads this weekend, and they are being sent out for port/polish as we speak.
Car dyno'd at 540whp, 680ft-lbs but ran lean at 5000 rpms. Needs to be retuned after I get the heads back.
sneakyneon ran 11.29 @ 128mph when he had the car. When I went to the track my IAT's were too high and I only ran 12.2 @ 118. Expect to come out strong next year and break into the 10's.
Still have a lot to learn and look forward to building this car more in the coming year.

awesome! I was wondering when you were going to post up!
Just let us know when you need some tuning help, and can't wait to see the car in the 10's!

Congrats and Nick is a great guy! Porting your heads, will bring the boost down some and can help with the tuning.

Thanks guys. Nick has been awesome answering any questions I have about the build
IAT's were high because it was a hot day and they didn't have ice at the track for the icebox. I've learned a lot about the car since I took it to the track so next time should be much better.
My biggest concern now is how the tranny is going to hold after the heads. I will be pushing over 700ft-lbs to the wheels on the stock tranny with 130k miles

A machinist friend in Texas is doing them for me. He doesn't want me to release any info yet. He's going to be doing flow bench testing before and after so we can see the realized gains.

Lifting heads, I know that feel. Throw some ARPs in there and retorque them after about 500 miles.
You can use two head stud kits for a Nissan SR20 engine, good to go.

Looking forward to seeing your results. Are you saying with stock size valves or going larger? There's a lot in the heads but it takes time to figure them out and how to make them work with the tiny cam specs we have.

Congrats on your purchase. I've had the pleasure of meeting Nick and seeing his car in person and most likely the only reason his car never hit 10's is because of the lack of track prep so his times suffered
