Gents,

I've seen some of the most amazing cars in my lifetime on this forum. I want to know from you, how would you refinish these wheels? Every style/finish is on the table, matte black, matte gun metal, graphite gray, etc etc..

They will be dropped off Monday morning, I would love to know what you think!

My wheel guy and I are leaning on a matte black wheel. There is however one stipulation, I would need to do the calipers for the matte black to pop. He recopmennded this:



The price for everything out the door is good, but getting up there. Is there a legit DIY to do calipers like this?

That water transfer is pretty sick. But definitely a fan of the brushed bronze on a black car. Thats uber sexy.

I just refinished my stock wheels in this color. I'll ask my paint guy today what code he used. I think it looks great on an all black car.

I think a metallic gunmetal grey looks good on a black CLS.

I am about to start refinishing a new set of wheels for my car (BBS LM's) and have been debating on colour for the centres. My car is silver and I've just ordered a small 4oz sample bottle of 'Galaxy Grey' from 'House of Kolor'. Luckily my brother is a car painter so he has proper colour swatches, it comes in a fine metallic or a larger flake metallic they call 'glamour'. I'm probably going for the 'glamour', sounds terrible I know, but check it out, I think it would look really special on a black car.

Your CLS looks ultra sick as is. I, personally, would not change a thing. What brand/model/size of wheels are those?

I refinished my HRE's in hyper-black triple dark finish. I love them, sorry no pics yet I had them refinsihed and the car went into storage the next day for the winter. Depending on the light they shift from almost completely gloss black looking to a gunmetal grey color.

You know where i'm at with this Vlad. Brushed with a clear coat or brushed with a matte double dark tint clear coat. Anthracite (gloss gunmetal) looks dope too

Not usually a fan of black wheels, but you pull it off nicely on your cls..looks sick as is too.

You can check out how my SSR's came out. Brushed aluminum with a matte double dark tint clear coat. You can see the brush detail under the matte clear

I would not go with matte black personally brotha. Since you are murdered, you need contrast. First, what style rim are you finishing, the ones on the car? Matte black might look ok, if you hit the calipers hard.
