Need E55 Front Plate Bracket Please
Long time lurker, not much of a poster...
I don't usually park the car on the street but every once in a while I do. Lately I've seen cops issuing tickets for no front plate on parked vehicles.
So I'm in need of an E55-specific front license plate bracket. Anybody have one laying around? Please PM me.
Thanks!

Thank you but perhaps I should've clarified... I'm not interested in the tow hook option. It gives the car an aftermarket/modified look. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but it's just not what I'm after with my wagon.

few listings that might have a license plate bracket there's a couple people that did conversions to the E 63 bumper and they might have exactly what you're looking for. Here's the link and you can spend your time looking and pminghttps://mbworld.org/forums/exterior-parts-98/

Are you looking for the black plastic part? If so, I might have it in the garage. I'll send it over to you if that's what you're looking for. PM me if it is!

Thank you BenzoBoi! PM sent.
You would not believe the amount of times I've caught myself doing that on other forums. I appreciate the heads up!

Before drilling holes in your unperforated bumper to mount a factory bracket, check the forum for those mounting their plate to the mesh grille using J bolts. I did that on mine and am VERY pleased with the outcome - especially since I may soon be registering the Beast in a state that does not require a front plate. (I also considered the tow hook mount, but it blocks one of the Parktronic sensors, and I couldn't figure out how to make the system ignore that sensor.)
Here are some photos with item numbers of the hardware and accessories that I used.
(Did it more than a year ago, and it still works and looks fine.)

The only thing I see that might be a potential issue is the reduced air flow to the heat exchanger, for guys with killer chiller that would eliminate the heat exchanger I guess this isn't really an issue... When I first bought my car .... With the license plate and bracket off and had these huge atrocious holes in my bumper and then had friend immediately put the bracket and plate back on and left it on the car but this seems like a good option if you don't like the tow hook idea or don't care about the airflow restriction...

I've seen a couple cars before that had painted on front plates
They were in California. Dunno if your state law would preclude that but it's an option...

The problem with the painted plates is that it takes one "diligent" meter maid to spoil the fun. Those roaches are everywhere in NYC. I got a $115 ticket today for pulling over in a no standing zone. I had my wife, 4-yo, and 8-WEEK-OLD with me. Bastige didn't care.
My plan is to mount the bottom screws of the plate to the grille and then use 3M tape on the back of the plate holder and secure it to the bumper. We'll see how well that works...
