Rear End suspension Question
I searched on the "THUD" noise from the rear suspension and the general consensus is that it is a shock issue.
I looked it up in WIS and it said the way to test the shocks (a common report of thud in the rear when going over bumps) was too go over a bump on each side independently and whichever side makes the noise is the bad side. Makes sense...except both sides sound and react the same
But I also am having and issue with the rear end "walking" when hitting bumps. It shifts over a bit. I just had the alignment checked again this morning at my shop and it is where he always sets it. He also didn't visually see anything out of the norm.
Did any of you guys also have this issue when the shocks needed to be replaced? I finally got the new battery for the STAR laptop in this morning as well and will hook it up to see if there are any codes but wanted to ask first.

that makes sense, but WIS says to use bumps, lol. I will ccrawl under there and check it, but we have a winter storm rolling in for the next 2 days keep that shock warm for me...I have a feeling i'll need it.

No a bad shock wouldn't cause that .
Maybe check the rear lower control arm bushings, did you check your tire pressure?
Do you have stock wheels?
My car dances like that too once in a while but only on some wavy sh**ty roads only and I have new shocks.
