C32 Vs Pre-2003 E55 Straight Line Performance
I was wondering how the quickest magazine test results compare between the two cars.
The C32 was tested by Autocar and ran a 0-60 of 4.6, 0-100 in 10.8 and the 1/4 mile in 13.0@107.
Anybody seen better times or trap speeds in the pre-2003 (W210) E55?

Most magazines have both the W210 E55 and C32 at around 0-60 in 5 secs and 1/4 mi. in mid to low 13's.
That C32 tested by AutoCar must have been a really good sample. Motortrend's 0-60 in 4.8 secs is the fastest I've seen for the E55.
BTW, a recent issue of some Australian Car mag (forgot the name, it's not "Wheels") had an article on the old C36. Although this was MB/AMG's first AMG tuned C-class, they still proclaimed it the best, even over the newer and faster C43 and C32! Straight line speed isn't everything.

Both cars fully de-limited, the C32 will win up to about 120mph~ The V8 car may take over at this point, but both cars will reach around 300km/h. To be honest, it will be a very close race.
