guys with trunk tank please help

Ive had my trunk tank for a little over a year. I got this tank with a rule 2000 pump built inside the tank is from chawkins2001 and this is the first problem Ive had. Its wired to come on as soon has I press the push start button but today I notice it was not running. the only thing I have done is add some water wetter in the tank thats it. any help would be great thanks.

I have not had a chance to check the wiring. I think that is most likely the problem being the rule2000 is a strong pump and I cant see that it would be bad already. thanks guys.

Thanks again, after I had time to take a good look it was just a wire that was the problem. I have now noticed that the fluid level in the tank is dropping a little bit. Any insight on why this may be ? Running a mix of distilled water, mb coolant, and 2 bottles of water wetter.

My Rule 2000 failed after less than 3 months and I'm getting it replaced this week. Unfortunately the vendor I bought the pump and tank from is totally unresponsive after over 2 months of trying to grt him to send me a new one, so I'm replacing it out of pocket. Lame.

Sry to hear. Mine was just some lose wiring but as started above the fluid level in the tank seems to be going down a bit, maybe the distilled water that's in there is evaporating some ?

another question guys. my 30 amp green fuse was fried so I had some weaker 10 amp fuses laying around to test and make sure my pump wasnt bad, so I popped it in and heard the pump try to start up the the fuse blow which I knew it would being it was not a 30 amp fuse. This is where Im stuck, I get some new 30 amp ATC fuses put it in the fuse holder and nothing. could I need a new fuse holder as well ?

Given the questions, you probably should leave the diagnosis and repair to a skilled mechanic....replacing a 30A fuse with a 10A fuse is just plain stupid....

Yeah exactly so if you knew the fuse would instantly blow, why would you do it ?? You clearly have no idea about circuits or diagnosing problems, so save yourself some stress, don't damage anything, and take the car to a good mechanic.

If you want to learn how to use an volt meter to diagnose your problems, just ask or just search on youtube....

Sorry if you feel I am being a dick ...

If you have verified the pump is getting power, then check the pump's ground (wire). Make sure the ground is proper and if unsure test the ground with your volt meter (continuity to the neg. terminal of the battery). If you have power and a good ground and the pump still does not work, then it is likely fried...

No worries on the comment either...

I went through what you are going thru. I put in an inline fuse to the power/red wire to the pump, with 40A fuse, then I connected it to the fuse panel for the power. After that, no problems and all is good.

My rule 2000 failed after about 1 1/2 year.

A blown fuse can also be the sign the pump is starting to fail, as it starts to draw more amps when going bad. The rule pumps are good but if they are getting to much back pressure, they can fail early.

Another reason to run a dual set up with a Meziere up front and a Rule out back. If the Rule fails the Meziere is strong enough to run the whole system and vice versa.

Agreed!
My Meziere had gone bad while I was at MIR last year and the Rule ran just fine.

I am running 2 pumps. Front pump is running still but I can tell it's getting weak because car feels slower with just that pump working plus it's not the 010 Bosch model

Looks like mine. But then again I haven't seen mine in a year and it's on a Charger now.

Yes that's the same one that I have. You should ditch your current front pump and switch to a Meziere up front

Would the "upgraded" Bosch 010 work just as good ? I ask because I know u have to make some modification to hold the meziere pump. I was told the rule pump was power enough to push thur the front pump.
