Wrapped E63's

I'm going to get the wagon wrapped since it costs to much for a repaint for the paint damage I have. Any pictures of a wrapped E63? Looking to get a matte finish.

No pics but I know a guy with a M5 wrapped in 3M satin pearl white and it looks amazing, I think it's classy yet unique.

White and gray are the 2 colors I am looking at. Leaning towards the gray.

There is one for sale on Craigslist. Has several pics. I am in no way affiliated with the seller.

I'd like to see one done in glossy Telesto Gray (Lamborghini). Probably the closest thing to one-upping a factory Tectite :)

Got a great wrap company in so cal if you need them.

Matte blue?

wheelz Feb 16, 2014 10:27 AM

Thanks. I have used SDmotorsports on my cars in the past and I am going to have them wrap it. Getting Charcoal metallic matte. I am going to keep some gloss black on the car. Drop it off on March 1, can't wait.

What kind of paint damage do you have? Your car is a 2008? no?

dchl21 Feb 16, 2014 04:45 PM

Any idea on how much material you need to wrap a 211 sedan? Been considering it as well but to protect my paint. My e55 is my summer/winter DD and I don't want a unnoticed rock chip to turn into rust. Plus, silver is kinda boring. :p:

I had the car paint corrected but the stains are too deep and it was going to cost close to 8K to get it repainted if not more. The older lady I bought the car from in TX just let it sit outside.

These 2 are on the passenger side.

There is a few spots that are on the roof like this. The big spot that looks like bird crap is a stain that does not come out. There is a few spots on the roof like that.

hmm.... so a polish don't fix it ? really ?!?!?!!?!??

stockC43 Feb 17, 2014 04:15 PM

I find it hard to believe that it can't be buffed out. If the paint isn't cracked or its in the bace coat, it can usually be saved. Find a high end (exotic) body shop or detailer. You need a expert, not a high production detail shop.

FYI, this was how my GN was when I bought it (this was years ago)

And after a cut and buff

Different paint but you get the idea.

That can definitely be removed with a rotary buffer. Like Stockc43 said, find a high end detail shop or body shop and take it to them. Don't let an inexperienced person use a rotary buffer on your car; if he does not know how to use it properly, your paint can be burned.

Wow can't wait to see the end result.

It should turn out great. Here is a better photo of the front and one of the side. Does not look to bad with my wheels.

Looks sick :y

Me and Dimon , both got our cars dipped. Mine is matt black and his is Red

and came out nice.

I bet yours would look even better since it's a wrap and would have a bit of shine in it.
