Idiot woman on the road gets what she deserved...
I was cruising around, running some errands on a warm, sunny day.
Blue minivan, middle-aged woman crammed up into the steering wheel is behind me at a light. Two lane turn light. We turn and she is so close to my rear that I can barely see her headlights, in a MINIVAN. I am accelerating normally and not slow by any means, nor aggressively (not engaging blower). She swings over to the left lane and speeds to get past me. She gets about a car barely and swings back over to my lane, no signal and drastic lane change. I just let her go at this point. Another light is coming up. I get to the left lane as I need to make a left up ahead. She gets stuck behind two 18-wheelers, once I go past her, her she comes flying behind me. I slow down for the red light. She nearly clips my rear. I was losing patience at this point.
Green, we go, she's tailgating like no tomorrow...right lane opens up and she tries to swing over to the right almost clipping my corner. I decide to open the car up and not let her pass. She's obviously trying hard and I am laughing as I let off. She's not paying attention to her lane and from what I could tell, yelling curses to me... and rear ends a pickup truck in her lane. She was going maybe 25mph while he was almost stopped.
I lost control of my car from the laughter and enjoyment I had from witnessing this.
It's gonna be a good day...
What is up with some minivan and slow car drivers? The nicer cars never seem to act like this on the road, but the middle aged women, men, and younger teenie boppers idiots with fresh licenses driving minivans, SUVs, and crappy cars always seem to driving like complete douches.
What are your experiences?

Don't get me started on the cretins that plague the city where I live. We also have one of North America's highest insurance rates. That should tell you everything.

All to familiar senario, a woman, a mini van and reckless driving. Ever since mini vans became du jour for working women with children I have noticed an alarming tendency for women to drive aggressively. Wether it is because they are trying to get home to beat the kids coming home on the bus, or they are just constantly running late, it is epidemic. I have come up with a term I branded these women with - MMM's, another words MAD MOMS in MINI vans. Watch out for them, especially the ones who are applying make up looking in the mirror while passing you going up a hill around a blind curve, very dangerous these MMM'S ARE.

I'm glad it wasn't your wife or mother driving that van that you forced into an accident. hopefully she wasn't injured or possibly the child that may have been in the back seat.
while she could have easily backed out of the throttle and fell in behind you could have just as easily let her by and went on with your life knowing the accident that happened could have been easily avoided by being the better more mature driver
just my .02 but driving for a living i see folks like you and her causing wrecks every day and its not a pretty sight

also say the same thing what you are saying.
The thing is that constant tailgating gets annoying and infuriates beyond reasoning and we do have 500 hp on tap and when one person knows we can take the other it's very hard to stay humble especially when you are already infuriated.
OP could've been a better driver and should've thought of the golden rule "Everyone other than you is an idiot" but like I said it's hard to stay humble.
I don't think OP is a psycho path on the street but in the heat of the moment gave in to his lesser self.
From the woman's perspective there could be number of reasons why she wanted to bypass traffic as fast as possible
I'm just glad he's fine.
Drive safe everyone

with over 2 million miles under my belt without a chargeable accident i believe i have earned that right
heres the op quote...
"I lost control of my car from the laughter and enjoyment I had from witnessing this." this attitude is what causes more problems on the road than a bad driver. its the disconnect from knowing that even a slow impact accident can have serious consequences. intentionally causing someone to wreck is neither funny nor enjoyable.
to the op why not ask your wife and your mother how they feel about your actions?

If she was in legitimate emergency/crisis? She should've turned on her Hazard lights, I've been rolled up by coppers more times than I care to remember. They've told me if you're in Emergency sitch IE hospital etc turn on your hazards, everybody will recognize somethings inherently wrong & MOST will make way & coppers will even give you full police escort after quik stop to confirm your emergency is valid etc..
Edit: removed small joking part of post, after fully digesting this thread it is no laughing matter..

How about thinking of everyone you involved doing this that were innocent victims? The truck the mini-van crashed into incurred the same/equal value of possibly very serious injury. At 25 mph hitting stationary vehicle is like hitting a brick wall for both cars. Whiplash is a given, at 25 mph permenant herniation type injuries are very likely.. All the while you drive off uncontolably laughing?
Lastly if any cop witnessed this you'd be liable for everything & worse yet fleeing scene of accident (your description describes what any onlooker would see as you drag racing the van etc) You accelerated & matched speed of van preventing them passing you, you intentionally caused it all outtve spite..

I am almost positive the OP did not INTENTIONALLY cause someone to wreck. You need to watch your words there. I read the OP as he was accelerating a bit quicker, not to make her crash ... stop taking this out of context. The OP wasn't paying attention to her lane, probably just his own.
In any event, I am not saying what the OP did was right, but to say that he intentionally caused an accident is simply outrageous.

I am sorry, but I have to say if someone actually can sit here and say he purposely caused an accident then you are a jackass. End of story.
Having someone driving like an idiot around you and then you having a little fun not letting them pass down the road after they already pissed you off does not turn in to a mission to make the person crash. It was something as simple as screwing with them and their luck was running low that day. She obviously wasn't paying attention to where she was going or it wouldn't have happened. Again, end of story.
I am pretty confident when I say I am sure the OP had no intention of hurting anyone both the lady in the van and whomever she ran in to. I am sorry but I can't ****ing stand when people get up on a soapbox and start preaching to others.
Peace, i'm out.

Funny you mention that ^^^^^ I lived in Italy for 2 years and they have hookers stand right on the side of a main highway we would take to work. When it would get to the cold time of the year half the time half of them would still be wearing little tiny skirts with the bottom of their *** hanging out and here I am freezing my nuts off when I go outside with long pants and long sleeve shirt on.

Funny thing is that is he used the term douche but he's the one driving an overpriced Mercedes(10 year old one at that) and looking down and cast names at others who don't but instead choose to drive practical cars (we know these cars aren't right?). I guess the definition of douche has changed...
Personally I think the original OP may have just been having fun and would like to think his opinions aren't really that strong...(I've been guilty of that myself)...hopefully itd all meant for fun and reflection would yield some concern.

I didn't get the impression that he said that he actually caused the accident, I thought it was just ironic that she happened to crash after driving like an idiot! Maybe it is me Dave as my back is so bad that I am going to a specialist on Monday and might have to go under the knife! So, if I am wrong then don't mind me! Sleeping 2-3 miserable hours a day cooped up in this house is becoming unbearable!

I pulled a similar stunt years ago and felt no regret. They had it coming.
I'm driving a 3 series BMW on a two lane mountain road and pass a couple of Qtips in a massive station wagon which apparently they didn't like. So, they glue themselves to my back bumper all the while gesturing with their hands and obviously pissed. I know the road well and there's an approaching switchback at the top of the hill I know they can't follow me around in their land shark. Sure enough, I zip around the turn, look back and see them all over the road sideways and eventually off the road in the swale. No harm done but I got a good laugh and they probably needed a change of diapers.

any witness could have come forward and testify otherwise
I agree with 320 dreamer, leave that stuff for LEO to figure out
