Why is there NOT a specific E63 Category
I have been lurking for a year now, but after getting my 63 I decided to join and post. Every time I search for information its always a thread that is taken over by 55 owners. I know a lot of things blend but whether its pics, or DIY, or many other questions the posts seem to be taken over by 55 owners have similar issues and I never seem to find what I am looking for. Don't get it, the 63 has been out for 7 years now. Lets get a specific page for it. Hope other members think the same, and I know I have read similar before but no real answers.
Thanks

https://mbworld.org/forums/c63-amg-w204-93/ well for anything regarding just 63 motors you can go to this link I put and then anything else referring to a W-211 you could just check the W-211 forum or stick around in the W-211 AMG

This place is a joke.
Because not too many mod the E63, it's not a mod-friendly car, and they sold just a fraction of them compared to the E55, which was sold in the financial heydey of the old America. The E63 was sold through the collapse.

Still should have a separate section, its irritating to post questions about an E63 issue and end up with a bunch of E55 related responses. Example, i had a question about spark plugs.. half said i needed 16 plugs and half said i needed 8.. or brakes.. a lot of "cant do it with the SBC".. yeah 63 doesn't have SBC..this a popular enough forum that it needs to be broken down and organized better.

The challenge is finding people willing to go there regularly to add useful content.

I totally agree with the OP. Having owned numerous BMWs and still own an E60M5, the BMW forums were very nicely organized. We can always pop into the generic W211 pages if we want to read about super charger pulley upgrades. I for one just ordered the Eurocharged stage 3 package for my E63 and hope to put it on soon.

Sounds like it might be a good idea to discontinue some of the dead sections and add an e63 section, I think you'll be surprised at how many people will use it. Who knows people from other forums nights then start using this one.

I think the OP and the BMW owners are missing the point. This is the AMG W211 forum. Why would you have a new forum because of a refresh with an engine change.
Are far as I know, there are not any BMW Mx that changed engines within the same series, so that comparison is invalid. (Said as a former E46 M3 owner)
Keep them together. The fundamental car is the same.
This is like saying those of us that drive the E55 wagon should have our own forum. Let's face it, we're the coolest of the E55 owners, but we're humble and willing to participate with those less enlightened.
(Just to ensure there is no confusion and, sadly on the Internet there might be, that last sentence was humor).

Your logic is totally flawed, particularly your example (as the former owner of a C5 and two C6).
The C5 is the W210
The C6 is the W211
The C7 is the W212
My 07 C6 had an LS2.
My 08 C6 had an LS3.
Dramatically different engines and output.
By your logic, there should be a different forum for the 07 C6 than the 08 C6, just because of an engine change.
That said, I don't care that much, but thing the E63 people would lose out, as the post count would be low. I think they'd end up reading the E55 forum too.

10 E63, Sold -07 E63
Why is people against it. It's just another sub forum and just numbers and text and data. It won't hurt not to have a separate page. I have been asking this too before. There is a few differences between the two, but those differences helps weed out the info E63 or E55 guys want to find. Helps direct people who may be new to their car without having to ask. I always see someone innocently ask a question only to be told TO SEARCH, or get a smart *** answer. Some have searched, and if it's new to you or just don't know, the search will just give you a mixed answer from both cars.

Doesn't really matter how you divide it up in my opinion. People come on here even when they don't have W211 AMG. I get hit up from guys with CDI and E350 etc. and they post in the AMG W211 forums too asking for help I have no issue with that. The strangest ones are those that come on posting about other brands of car ... But it's all good. People search and post in areas where the most information available.

If the section is created I would be happy to add some more stuff. Intake manifold is next. You can not find on the entire forum how to do this. Closest is "it was easy, my friend did it".
Also coming up is the gas filter and gaskets, yes I have the leak too, although the regular W211 section has a good write up.
Reminds me, need to get back to Carbino, their front cover not designed for a M156 in a E.
