I FINALLY picked it up today......

All I can say is HOLY S%&T. This car is AWESOME.

I DO NOT HAVE A STICKER ON THE WINDOW ABOUT THE BREAK IN PERIOD!!!!

I will post pics soon. This has to be the ultimate sleeper. I had some jackass try to pass me in a Jeep tonight before a lane merge and I gave it just a "little" gas and blew the crap out of the guy. After that he never tried again and stopped tailgating my *** .

Thanks guys for all the info. I already ordered the new air tube and 2 K&N's.

ROB

My "break in" instructional sticker had already been removed at the dealer when I picked up my car about 3 weeks ago. They made sure to remind me about the "run in" period when I picked up the car. The only other 3 E55's (all 2003's) at another dealer had the sticker affixed to the windshield in the upper left corner so the driver could see it clearly. It had everything written as to max speed, rpm, and throttle position for the first 1000 miles. I already did the easy air filter and driver's side intake mod as well. Have no idea how much it affected the performance but at 680 miles I'm fast approaching the 1000 mile goal.

srt10viper - Did you get permission to post dealer info?

Did you get permission to post dealer info? I'd love to speak with him about getting one.

Congratulations, Rob. What do you think of the Harmon Kardon? Yeah, it doesn't take much effort to blow most cars away. I was having fun yesterday on a three lane. Always jerks in the hammer lane. I don't ride up peoples butts or dart dangerously in and out of traffic. But when I had safe distances to lane change I was finding it so easy to weave my way ahead.

Thanks guys for the warm welcome...

As for the ENZO, that is not mine that is my Dad's car. As for what I do, my family owns 7 construction companies and 2 fiber optics companies. I work on the construction side.

As for the Harmon Kardon, I did not listen to the radio much yesterday . I do like it better than the H/K system in my M3. I am going to go and get the windows tinted now, so I will listen to the stereo and see what I think.

It's great to have a place like this where everyone has a true appreciation for fine automobiles. Not everyone does. I've been asked several times..what was wrong with the Mercedes you had? The true answer would only leaving them scratching their heads more. Cause this one is bigger, better looking, more comfortable, faster, better stereo, with more gadgets!!! My wife is from LA and you would crack up if you could ever hear us as we drive around there. It's car heaven. What was that??? S600. Man that looked hot. Is that an SL500? I'd love one of those. And on and on. If we ever hit the lotto, our first purchase would have to be a parking lot.
