Finally saw some action! 2 kills!
Driving home from the Dolphin's loss to the Eagles last Monday night...From a green light against a new Mustang GT....it was pretty funny!
Not 10 minutes later...A 996 Turbo (nearly identical to mine!) from 70 to around 110...I pulled him! To be honest I was a bit disappointed...I was hoping the Porsche would have won. I just lost a little love for my 996 Turbo! I still think the low speed race will see the 911 win easily, but there's no substitute for HP at speed and I proved it that night. I still plan on doing my test with my friend in the near future.

Real nice - the only guy I could get to bite was a big motorcycle - I stayed with him from a red light (on the BRP near Valhalla), till the kids in the back wanted me to slow down.

Eddie, how do you like the obsidian black? I think Mercedes has nailed it with silver and black and they look so boss in black. I almost went for the obsidian but just don't have the time for the upkeep that I thought it would end up needing. Our C32 was white and with the chrome AMG wheels I had on it, it was hot. Easier to keep clean than you would think.

Eddy - I really like it - upkeep is tough (given the dirt & salt). I had Black Opal on my prior CLK 430 - liked that alot as well. Where did you get your car ? I got mine in White Plains.

I did post a long time ago,tested E55(before the mods) against my buddy's '01 996tt,rolling start from 50 -150.(he lost big time).
When switched cars ,over 100 mph I had no prayer.

When I had my E55, I also kept up with two 650cc'ers from stop. They were a bit shocked and had to slow down after going up to 130mph on side streets.

The E55 is a bad motha' - no doubt. Put a little money in the 911 tt and it is a different story. You can get the 911 tt up over 650 hp without too much trouble and to 500 with the stock turbos. Some of those guys are running around with 600 + RWHP.

I got it at Mercedes of Nanuet. They've been getting a lot of them there. Up my way they have Friendly, where Don Imus got his S600, but no E55's there. I kind of stand out from the crowd up here.

I love the E55. My kids are very comfortable in the back compared to the TT. I have only had the car one week and have over 750 miles on it already!!!! I have never driven one of my new cars this much in a short amount of time.
THE E55 ROCKS!!!!

My 86 930 with Motronic ignition was only 500 HP. While it is true that the perception of speed can vary from car to car and is not the true test, I can tell you that my Porsche clearly felt faster than the E55. 2950 pounds, 500 HP, engine over the rear wheels, huge tires with no wheel spin. Makes a difference. My fav thing to do was take someone for their first ride in it, mozy along for a while, then nail it. It always elicited the same response. WHOOAAA!!!
