E55s with Meth Pump in Fender

Has any W211 E55 owners installed a meth pump inside the front passenger fender, beneath the washer pump (like post 79 in this thread https://mbworld.org/forums/w211-amg/...ethanol-4.html)?

I ask because when I tried a test fit the pump would bulge out the fender. I know others have - non E55s - but curious if any E55s have does this pump fender install. Thanks ahead for any response.

I mounted mine close to the washer tank in my 05 E55. If you remove your fender liner there is a spot big enough for the pump where the liner meets the plastic floor tray.

That is the same place I put mine. It tucks away nicely there.

Scoto and boostedfe3, when you mounted it at your location...did you mount it horizontally or vertically? I having a hard time visualizing it.

Mine is below the washer tank near the bottom of the liner. I may have a pic somewhere.

Thanks. I took a look under there tonight and I have room to install my meth pump there too. A lot easier then under fender. Thanks again.

Question Question on the tank

Quick question for ya Hulk. With your pump mounted by the bumper, where is your tank located? I assumed the windshield tank sits lower than where your pump is installed so you are using a different tank. What tank are you using to feed the pump?

Does anyone know if the Aquamist level sensor will fit into factory washer fluid tank?

You can drill a hole and fit the aquamist sensor, but you also have the factory sensor in the washer fluid tank.

I was going to omit the aquamist level sensor completely since there's a factory sensor, but I believe the HFS may use their sensor as one of the failsafes in the controller. If anyone knows if you can run without it I will gladly omit having to have it installed.

That's what I thought when I saw your post, but I think there are 2 other fail safes so ask Jeff what he thinks if you don't use the fluid level.

Thats a good point. My thought was that if there isn't a signal coming from the level sensor the controller may not inject. I'll shoot him an email.
