List of AMG Parts?
Is there a list of all the parts that are AMG on a E55 anywhere? I'm assuming the car is exactly the same as an E500 with the exception of the added AMG parts. Am I wrong? Just wanted to know the difference between an E500 and an E55...

Then there are a fewthings that come standard on AMGs that are options on other vehicles, but i cant think of them off the top of my head.

I'm pretty sure the cross members are different in that the E55 has beefier axles and the subframe might be different. I currently have a whole E55 front and rear cross member and I have an E500. I've been busy but I was gonna lift the E500 up and see the difference while I have the parts. In all honestly, even though I love projects and builds, if you're thinking about a conversion it's just not worth it. It just isn't. Don't get me wrong, there are cars which I believe conversion would be warranted but the E55 is too cheap for there to be a financial advantage in a conversion.
You never mentioned a conversion though so I'm just assuming.
You can throw E55 brakes on an E500 easily. You can swap the motor and gearbox and diff and the Airmatic etc etc. Most stuff is interchangeable and the chassis is the exact same. There are however lots of little parts which are different. They have different part numbers but who know, that could just be Mercedes' way of organizing part numbers.

No conversion... new owner of an e55. A buddy asked what the difference was and I really didn't know what to say other than the body and the supercharger. So I figured I'd ask the question to see if there was a complete list anywhere.

The exhaust systems are different. E55's rear fenders are rolled from the factory. E500s had optional heated steering wheels, as far as I know that option was not available on E55s.

3 parts,
left side fender emblem "V8kompressor"
right side fender emblem "V8kompressor"
Trunk lid right emblem "///AMG"
that's it. An EBay build out should take 8-9 minutes and less than $100.

LOOL you still need the bumpers, side skirts and wheels though as well as the exhaust tips and grill. Even then your microscopic brakes will give you away.

And a fake Rolex for the full poser effect . I took off all my AMG badging as anyone that knows what they are looking at knows what it is wo the emblems. It cracks me up seeing the kompressor nameplate two feet from tiny calipers that have been painted and had AMG decals put on them . Not fooling anyone .
