So I think my transmission is TOAST
okay some of you guys have probably noticed I've posted a few transmission related questions lately...
My trans has been giving me a "slipping" sensation going from 2nd>3rd. I can avoid this by manually shifting and releasing the gas (like a traditional standard transmission). So I replaced the conductor plate, plug, oil pan gasket, new transmission filter, and new ATF.
As you can see on the old conductor plate, the copper pins where the solenoids make contact were burnt. I was feeling more and more confident that this was causing my slipping issue, and there wasn't very much metal pieces in the bottom of the pan (I did have the trans drain & refilled about 30k ago) so I was thinking the gears are in fairly good condition and my issue HAS to be this plug & conductor plate...
So I put everything back together and properly filled the trans. Just shy of 4qts got the fluid level where it should be on the dipstick. I took it for a test drive, and still the same issue....
So now I'm thinking, what are the chances of a solenoids being bad? I didn't put a voltage meter on it, but I did clean the contacts. I guess I'm just in denial of the Transmission being shot, because this problem happened out of the blue!
Anybody have ANY ideas or input, aside from getting quotes to rebuild, buying used or new...

This place is a joke.
144k likely "hard" miles....what more do you expect from it? Stop wasting money throwing parts at a transmission with that kind of mileage. It's time for a rebuild/reman.
