K band is the most frequently used radar band in the USA, it's not very wide 24 ghz and is used for vehicle blind spot monitors as well as Distronic on many cars. It's used by police radar as well. There's a lot of falsing , even on your Stinger! Due to k band pollution. Chances are, if you're in the road and getting a false, it's a K band false.

Ka and is used only for police radar and rarely falsies. It's also known as super wide Ka band. x band runs at 10.xx, k band at 24.xx and Ka at 33.8/34.7 and 35.5.
