recommended tire size for a lowered E on CLS wheels

Running OEm CLS wheels 18x8.5f and 18x9.5 rear on what will be a lowered (not slammed) E55.

I have decided on the RE-71R tire, which restricts me to a 275/35R18 rear size (25.6" overall diameter). What do you guys recommend for a front size? These are my options for this model tire:

235/40R18 - 25.4"
245/45R18 - 26.7"
255/35R18 - 25.0"
255/40R18 - 26.0"

any suggestions?

You need 245-40. You look into Michelin pss tires?

You may want to consider Yokohama Advan's. For me they are the best so far and I have tried several brands.

I believe there is a limit restricting (error code) the front and back can not be more than 1 inch in overall diameter different (or some percentage difference and I can not remember or find the thread) -- so I don't think 245/45R18 - 26.7" would be an option -- maybe someone can chime in and correct me -- I would like to know if the 275's rub , 285's definitely do on cls wheels

CLS550 AMG Sport wheels, running 265/35/18 rears and 245/40/19 fronts. Hope this helps

235/40 would be fine.

255 helps a bit with understeer. I went that route (275 rears) and am happy with the outcome.

For fitment, yes.
For handling, no.

YOUR BEST PICK 255/40F FOR BETTER HANDLING AND A FULLER LOOK. REAR 275/35 NO RUBBING ISSUE.
