Interestingly I saw a a black E55 at work the other day. I couldn't believe that of all the Commodores and Falcons in the world someone else bought an E55. That was until I looked a little more and saw it was a fraud. Fake second pipes. Complete poverty pack. Likely an E280/350 made up. Such wasters!

Hi Guys,
I am in Perth and also have one of these.

Interestingly EC have just signed up with a local INDY called MB Centre to sell Eurocharged products. Its just up the road from me so it works a treat.

I have found Jerry at EC to be great as I have the 83mm pulley and tune already installed. My short headers are here and will be going on in a couple of weeks (just waiting for other parts).

Best Rgds

Adelaide here... I know there's heaps of Victorian E55 owners and more than a few from NSW but it seems Aussie MBWorld members are about as scattered as you can get.

Welcome to the forum Jeffas. I've passed through Perth a few times in my E55 even staying a couple of weeks on more than one occasion. In fact I bought the car in Melbourne (stayed the night), drove back through Adelaide (surprise visit for family & friends over 3 nights), over the Nullaboor to Perth (another 1 night stopover), then continuing up to Port Hedland where I was living at the time. That initial drive covered over 5500km. Did another couple of round trips to Perth while in WA (3800km each time) before eventually moving back to Adelaide and of course driving the car back here.

Nothing like those long stretches of country road to enjoy the unrestrained beast in the wild...

For comparisons sake at the time I overlayed the route I took when I bought the car over a U.S. map. So if I was in America I would have driven from Florida to LA then up to Washington.

I don't think that overlay is accurate, the US is bigger than Australia. Is that to scale?

What brand shorties have you got? You'll have to let me know how they go. I'm in the market for some headers to help get some heat out of the engine and engine bay.

The car had travelled 200,000km but the rebuild wasnt due to the age of the motor. In fact for the most part the internals looked excellent for the age which seems to be the case for most owners who have opened her up.

I assumed it was to scale but having said that I found another overlay map which shows the U.S. slightly larger.

Hey

Welcome all. Well I have my car back, a few issues but my EC headers are now on, much more work than explained, be aware.

Car is now a true handful. Anyone recommend a rolling road in Perth.

Also need help on a coolant leak, nothing external found and cameras inside the cylinders and inlets show nothing??????
