AirMatic Question...
Gents,
I have a question in relation to our AirMatic suspension.
My car is slammed on links, tucking on all 4 corners. This is in Sport II.
I've read somewhere that when in Comfort Mode, the car lowers itself after speeds of 120KM/H...
So yesterday, I'm on the highway, press Comfort and I could have sworn the car felt like it dropped even more..... steering stiffened up and everything.
Is this possible? Guess I'll have to get someone driving next to me to see....
Appreciate any insight. Thanks guys.
**Also note: my car doesn't raise in Comfort mode when sitting cruising around the city. Guess it's just too low...

From what I've read on here, the car will lower to a point, but if you are already lowered to or past that point, it will not lower anymore at highway speeds.

Sorry for the thread hijack but where would one find the airmatic compressor on our cars? I get a vehicle lift malfunction notification every now and then and want to check my lines and possibly add a new filter..

There is an up dated air line and as long as you have it out it would be a good idea to do the 10 minute rebuild (new piston).

First go back in this thread and click on the PDF link I posted, many of your questions will be answered.

From that video it seems insanely easy and from what I have read is that my warning comes on because the pump had run for too long.
Now, is there a source online in the states that I can order the rebuild kit from and would you happen to have the pump relay and filter part number handy as well as where the pump relay would be located on an E55? Mind as well replace the relay if I'm going to rebuild the pump..
I need to learn this whole airmatic system and invest in star for the inevitable...
