Need a little guidance...I am reading conflicting info all over the place. I have an '05 E55 with factory taillights. I think they're LEDs. Forgive my ignorance on lighting. I seriously know SO little. Anyway, I want to upgrade them to the E63 tails, preferably LEDs.

Will these fit? I contacted the seller and they couldn't tell me for sure:

Yes they will, any taillight from a W211, for a W211 will fit.

UPDATE: Actually not sure, he says on the ad it will fit non-LED models but it doesn't make sense to me, the OEM ones are all the same.

Thanks for your reply. I read some old threads that stated the same...all tails are interchangeable. And I read that from more than one member. I'm going to try it.

what's the major difference? It looks like both are LED with an incandescent turn signal
