Miles are irrelevant if the car was maintained especially by an enthusiast. It's better to have a well maintained car with high mileage then a car that sat with very little miles. Those are disasters and have demons that are waiting to pop up. Because it has not been driven enough to replace the common faulty parts.

I have owned one for 9 months and over 12,000 miles as a daily driver. It is a great car, but you must be able to pay $5,000 for repairs if necessary. These are very temperamental cars. It seems I can't go three weeks without some kind of error code. Today I got the red dash light "CHECK GAS CAP." I checked it and the error was gone the next time I drove, but this code has been happening monthly.
It is a high end car with many operating and electrical systems that were never quite perfected before they changed the models.

Put 25k miles on mine last 17 months. Gets snow duty and exposed to ontario terrible road salt. Car has held up well but within first 24 months I'll be into about 4k in maintenance. Tires last 2 seasons and I don't thrash the car at all. If u have the money and don't mind spending it on repairs it's a great choice.

Agree with all the comments here ... I tend to change stuff out before they fail and have never had any issues with mine. I no longer daily drive mine though since getting my CDI.

I drive mine 40% of the time. Year and a half in I have had great luck. Very dependable. Besides breaking a 19inch rim I have had no problems or complaints.

Great car but have a second vehicle available for the times when the W211 is down for several days to weeks for repair/maintenance. It's a high-performance car that should come with its own dedicated ground crew. Since I can't afford a ground crew, I have to do the work myself as time/money is available.

In the last 3 months of ownership, I had 1 airmatic shock fail, as well possibly the SBC failing (although that happened yesterday, so we'll see). Car is great when it is working, but you should have backup transportation, for the times when you'll be down a car. And there will be a time when you are down a car.

Wondering if you think this is different from any other car? I repair mine and agree with you that it can take several days if you order from on-line resources, but I think that goes for many cars if you order on line. I don't think it is any different from any other car really .. just more expensive.

I drive mine every day, year round in Michigan. No real issues. I go through a set of Continental Extreme Contact DWS 06's every 30,000 miles or so (especially the back).
Also costs me $75 every 5000 miles for an oil change. Tend to average around 18.5 mpg driving 32 miles to work.
