Heat exchanger
Headers (mid length ok?)
Tb upgrade
Tune

That should get you close. Let's face it your buddy got an 80k car. The problem is if he gets a tune it's over. Sure you can build a 10 second beast to beat your buddy and throw 10k at it. But is that what you want to do with your car? I would mod your car the way you want too. There will always be someone faster.
