2007 Mercedes E63 AMG
bigger is better for power, but going larger in piping generally adds to noise. 3 inch should be choice for power out of the two. with the E55, the engine is much quieter than the E63 so going to a 3 inch shouldn't be a huge issue.

Can't speak for other diameters, mine was fitted with 3.46 inch.. No droning whatsoever, like a stock car when cruising light footed. Put the pedal to the metal, and people suffer whiplash turning to see what's coming for them... Haha. The best.

Add drag radials to your car and the correct amount of cooling mods, I'd expect mid to low 11s @ 123-125.
And what do you mean, believe it when you see it? You asked about the dudes car who is stock with drag radials who did exactly what you aren't believing. It wasn't even in great air. I mean the cars are 10-14 years old, plenty of folks have done all of this before and there is plenty of data to look at and find yourself.
I mean, magazines when th car was new were doing low 12s @114-116 all stock and stock tires. How slow do you want it to be?

Oh and forgot to add intercooler and pump upgrade
And what i gathered from reading i only found these cars were doing mid to high 12's which seems logical from 450hp and being so heavy.
Now i have an sts-v which are rated around same horse power and as heavy. Those cars as i know have been 13.1 stock.
