Advice - Urgent - Custom Tune Tomorrow...
Fellas,
Sorry on the urgent request. I am going in for a custom tune tomorrow with Jerry (poor time management by me)...
Has anyone tuned for higher than 93 octane?
Although I don't have access to or want to run 100+ octane 24/7 there is a race fuel additive from Torco. From what I gather people have had good luck with the product. Torco claims adding 16oz to 10 gallons of gas yields an octane increase of +4.
So, should I tune for 97 if it is possible? Go higher, or just stay at 93?
Thanks in advance for any guidance.

VP Madditive is an option, though I would still tune for 93 and use the booster to have a cushion. Tune for race gas if you are running true race gas like MS109 etc.

Why not use a my genius hand held if your gonna take it to the track etc, you can have multiple tunes at your finger tips , or get another ECU and put a race tune on it , I'd stay away from " octane boosters " just run race fuel with the race tune. If you do use another ECU it will have to be unlocked AND it must have the EXACT same part number as yours ,then it has to be "programmed" to your car by Benz dealer, I had it done by my friend whose is a shop supervisor at Benz ,he went online with Germany to do it.you wanted more options there ya go.
