What do you think of this STAR system specs?
Here is the ad I am looking at, any concerns or experiences?
Looks like it's made by sparker instruments which appear to be from China:
Best Quality MB SD Connect Compact 4 Star Diagnosis 2013.07 With WiFi. Comes with laptop, pre-installed, need nothing more. Scan Mercedes vehicles with OEM tool 1992-2014 Models. Just like the dealership.
Software version: 2013.07
Hardware version: 2.02
New MB Compact 4 Feature:
1. New MB SD Connect Compact 4 Star Diagnosis support wireless diagnose;
2. New MB SD Connect Compact 4 Star Diagnosis not only support K line diagnose and CAN BUS,but also UDS diagnose protocol. Because old MB STAR C4 main board do not have UDS chip, so old MB STAR C4 can not support it;
3. Multiplexer now use Lan cable to connect, can fit all computers not only IBM T30;

from what i know these generally work, but will not be able to access the online database of updated information.
the laptop has a cloned hard drive from another computer placed within.

if all you're using it for is a w211 then get the C3 that is wired as they are more reliable than the c4 wireless

Ive heard of many guys running the C4 wired or wireless no issues. They are all made in china bro. Even the legit ones, still have china made parts. I am about to connect my car to a C4 today.

Yep. I have a C3, works fine for me. If you plan on getting another, newer MB, might be worth getting the C4 with a newer image.
