RIPOFF/Scam Report
 

For those of you in Florida,

Avoid MB Automotive in Pompano Beach at all costs. Robert Ginsburg is a ripoff artist. He sold me a Carbonio engine cover and inlet tubes. The tubes came fine, the engine cover came warped and with a broken tab. When I contacted him about it, he literally cussed me out via text. He intentionally didn't mark the item as paid via eBay so I would have no recourse. I wanted to let everyone know so no one else gets conned by this guy.

If you paid via PayPal how does it say not paid?

Unfortunately I paid with my credit card. Hindsight is 20/20. I'm working with them to dispute the charge.

Whether the seller took the time to mark the item as paid or not shouldn't matter. You have proof that payment was sent. Why is that not enough?

If I had to guess, it's because I didn't use PayPal, they didn't get a cut, and don't want to deal with it.

if you pay through ebay doesnt it always use paypal? even if it goes through a credit card?

Yes even if you paid by cc it goes through PayPal. Im curious why eBay or PayPal is not handling this

It sounds like the seller accepted the payment through their merchant account. The only way to pay through Ebay with a credit card is if it's linked to your Paypal account.

If I have someone that wants to pay by credit card (not linked to their Paypal acct) they have to call and give me the info over the phone. Then I have to manually enter it into our system to process the payment. Then I go in and mark the item as paid in Ebay.

HERE'S THE REAL STORY:
SPASTIK WANTED TO KEEP A PORTION OF THE KIT INSTEAD OF RETURNING THE WHOLE KIT. HE HAD A TANTRUM B/C WE WOULDN'T TAKE A PARTIAL RETURN SO HE INITIATED AN EBAY CASE AND LOST.
THEN HE INITIATED A BBB CASE AND LOST.

IF HE IS SO UNHAPPY, WHY DIDN'T HE JUST RETURN THE WHOLE THING? WE GIVE FULL REFUNDS IN 14 DAYS. WE HAVE ALL PROOF AND DOCUMENTATION THAT THIS GUY IS A KOOK.

HE HAS BEEN SLANDERING US ONLINE AND EVEN CALLED RENNTECH TO TRY TO GET US REMOVED AS AN AUTHORIZED DEALER AND HE WAS LAUGHED AT.

eBay actually opened a fraud investigation on his account. I initiated a return, he literally told me to go f*** myself when I asked for a return. He intentionally required payment to get around the PayPal returns system. I'll post all of the screen shots. Look at his Google reviews. He's ripped off people for cars, wheels, and now carbon parts. Btw, it's now slander if it's true. Have a super day broski!
