Damn awesome work man!
I just got my first E55 this weekend, are you located anywhere near Tampa? Looking for someone like you to rely on if you're interested in taking a look at mine...

Awesome thread. I'm also working on a neglected e55 I recently acquired. The e63 front bumper replacement, where did you get it and was it painted by the sellers before shipping?

Probably Suvneer. Gary is a vendor here. Got my GH lip from him. Nice stuff, good guy to deal with. Gary@Suvneer. You can do an advanced search for this name, then just PM him.

Thanks everyone. Unfortunately I'm located in Maryland. The bumper was purchased on eBay, but I would go with the recommended seller on the forum. The eBay bumper was fine and the painter said it was a pretty nice bumper.
Put everything back together and started it up real quick. I also had to replace the coolant reservoir and the little plastic cooling hose. They did not survive the oil cooler seal replacement. I used LiquidMoly engine oil. Sounded a lot better than before even though I am missing a muffler😅.

yes, I just had the fuel tank assemblies replaced. There was a charge of $300 for broken fuel pump connectors on the body harness. They had to cut and solder in the jumper harness that came with the kits. They charged me two hours for that. I was a little stunned at first, but it does take the tech some more time and he had to pull down an exhaust that was not stock. They did a good job. I called mercedes of America and they assured me the connectors on the body harness were not part of the extended warranty.

Thanks, I think these wheels came off of a Cls. I recently sold the car and the new owner brought me these to install and we wrapped them in some continental DWS's. Apparently, from his research, these should fit. We shall see tomorrow.

The new owner has been bringing me new parts to install. Finished up the exhaust work finally.
I had to pull the tint off to pass the Maryland safety inspection.
The serpentine belt tore today. First warranty job. I am glad it happened before the new owner picked up the car.
I had to remove the fan assembly because of this brace.

Man, I want an exhaust like that but to keep the original tips... I wonder how loud those mufflers make that car.
The X pipe is a very nice touch, everything looks so clean. I wanna find someone like you who can do this kind of stuff.

Last picture in my possession. The Wheels and taking the tint off really made the car look nice again. I put the factory transmission Ecu back in also. What a difference that made. The car drove excellent. I am really satisfied with the end result.

Cool project. Nicely done sir. Too bad this wasn't for you. You sure went through a lot of trouble for a car that you aren't keeping. Hope you made out alright. Cheers to giving her some love to bring her back to life

You got one of the bad batches of E63 bumpers. It's receded chin and narrow sides look nothing like OEM. The Suvneer one shouldn't look like that. It looks so off a real E63 one it's not funny. I've mentioned this before on the forum regarding the E63 bumpers.

Bad headlight wiring.
New headlights. Depo. Will update. I have to make brackets to mount the ballast tomorrow.
Intake parts. Not sure of the manufacturer. But seem pretty nice.

Thank you. And it was a horrible investment. But the end result was good and the new owner has been pretty happy with the car.
