Blower Motor Replacement DIY - Squeaks Solved!
So I was getting this awful squealing / sqeaking noise when the blower fan was running on the lower RPM settings. Fairly subtle but horribly annoying. Well finally got around to fixing it. Turns out I just needed a new blower motor which was actually fairly easy to replace.
I purchased the new blower motor and did the swap. Noise completely gone! I did a quick video of the install / swap. Short notes... its basically under the passenger side dash - remove a couple panels, take blower motor out, swap electronics on the unit from old to new, reinstall and enjoy a noise free cabin. |
Did it myself last summer, very easy. Was surprised actually lol

what brand replacement and where from ? price ?? thx

if the noise isn't bad, you can use bearing oil on the motor shaft and that will silence it. Only work is to remove the entire blower itself (no disassembly required).

I did try that first. Worked for a little bit but then came back. Replacing ended up being a permanent solution for me. Also since the cost of replacement wasn't so bad it was worth it to just swap w a new blower unit.

Where did you source the parts? This is a good fix.

Found the best deal on eBay actually. Good luck!!
