What parts do you have lying around just in case?
I am just about to make what would be a very small order from pelican parts. I just need the 3x trim clips for the AMG plate that sits in the door well and might as well get another oil filter I suppose. Just wondering what parts you guys would recommend having lying around just in case? Parts are expensive here so its nice to have "need it now" things without having 2-3 weeks of shipping or paying our dealership prices.
I already have a brand new crank position sensor sitting in the glove box left over from the CLK55. My E55 only has 22,000 miles but probably a lot of it was sitting in traffic not moving. Would a voltage regulator be worth having? Anything else?

I just put an order in with FCPEuro for some bits....
CPS for sure
Intake manifold temp sensor
new oil drain plug and copper washer
got the engine oil dipstick
I also ordered up a bunch of stuff for my old 1970 vw bug because you always need a spare belt and throttle cable

I keep a fuel pump relay and fuse in the trunk along with a spare blower belt. I like to have filters on the shelf. This is a huge improvement over my last car, where I kept a couple spare gearboxes laying about, just in case...

I got two new belts from FCP european a couple of weeks ago but I will have a look at the fuel pump relay and fuse as I hear they like to burn and melt, thanks.

I am hoping not to need spare wheels!
Thanks for the advice, I ordered from pelicanparts
Voltage reg bosch 003-154-65-06-M14,
Another oil filter,
Door sill clips 001-997-65-35
Electrohydraulic bush was the last thing I need for trans fluid change, IAT sensor,
Bumper temp sensor,
Fuel pump relay 002-542-72-19-M44 (hella is the OEM supplier)
and I couldn't find the fuel pump fuse but I think it is usually the relay which causes the problem. I can always sand the contacts and apply conductive paste (thanks to bbirdwell for the writeup on the fuel system).
