how to gut the muffler

I did resonator delete and second cats delete, and I am still not satisfy with the out come.

trying to source a c63 mufflers, but seems everyone is asking a arm for them.

so I am thinking gutting the muffler.

any advice will be helpful.

Why not just remove them and have some pipe welded on with the tips on it? That'd be way easier.

thats my original approach, but my mechanic said it would be a pain in the neck to re fit the tips to have the stock look

Do a search and it will come up ...I think under "muffler gutting". I did mine and it was real easy,cut a small section out of the top of the muffler,cut the bypass pipe and welded it back together.

I dont, and don't really want to go that route yet, want to keep the car as stock as possible, but want more sound
