E55 Lowered
Got home a bit early today and decided to lower the car. Lowering links in front and a razor blade in between the bracket and frame out back. Its about from ground to fender 24.7 inches back and front is about 24.8-9. Passenger side is a tad higher both front and back, i noticed its the same as well on my e550
. Noticed overal e55 sits half an inch lower then my e550. I was gonna swap the rims as well but the bolts are on way too tight and cant break them loose.

You can adjust that height fix with star as many e55 sit .5 higher on the passenger side...You could have got any height with dev mode vs links as adding links is like cutting springs.

I couldnt wait to swap wheel 1: the black rims i like more 2: my rims and tires on stock e55 was making a roaring sound which was annoying. Now i gotta fix this brake noise just loud dont know if its normal for this car or its just mine. I got plenty of pads left.

Nice looking E55. I would invest in a Gorilla Wrench, this baby will loosen the most stubborn lug bolts.

thank you, i figured i called my local pep boys 40 bucks and done. The wrench being $20 is a cheap investment, purchasing it.
After lowering it i couldn’t stop there really wanted to swap the wheels snd tires out. The roaring from the tires were also the other reason, the brand of tires and rims being bent just messed up the ride quality.

[QUOTE=Bahnstormer;7429915]Ride height looks just about perfect to me.
Never really cared for the slammed look
Thanks Bahnstormer. This is at its lowest setting. Its super difficult getting the rear dialed in. So i always lower the rear first take measurments and go to the fronts. The front links probably need one spin up to lengthen it to lower the drivers front a tiny bit and 2 full spins up for the front passenger side. Ill measure again sat or sun first and see if thats the case.

i mostly drive it in S1 and im perfectly fine by the ride quality. If im on a bad street or highway that has a bad surface i just put it in comfort and im more then happy. It does ride stiffer and if i were to put it in percentage wise, its about 15-20% stiffer then before. In comfort mode for some reason its harder to tell the difference between now and then.

My two previous cars were both Brilliant Silver E320s ('98 and '02).
Very nice and classic Mercedes color.
The time came to go car shopping again and I needed a change.
Glad I did and really appreciate the darker grey color.
