Interest in XS Power Headers for M156

I recently sent XS Power an email inquiring into their headers for the M113 and if they made anything for the M156. They stated that currently, they do not make anything for the M156 but they were curious of the demand. In the conversation I put emphasis on quality as there is nothing more annoying than headers that need to be modified due to poor fitment. I've had a few sets of manifolds for other various cars and I've never really had an issue with them, actually I've quite liked their quality.

OBX already makes some headers...not as cheap as you'd expect, but don't think there is enough market out there. honestly a bit surprised they don't share the same manufacturer.

According to them they do not make headers for the M156.

I bought XS Power for my E55. They came with a big fat "Project B5" label on them lol (literally welded on name plate). I E-Mailed the company before I bought them and asked if they were the same as the OBX/Maximizer headers or if they made them themselves or used a different producer. The response I got was. "I don't know. They are the same as the others." haha. However upon inspection it is easy to see that they are NOT the same as the OBX/Maximiser, the welds and joints are all in different locations on the runners.

OBX does make E63 headers, unless you thought he was talking about XS power still. https://www.ebay.com/itm/OBX-Exhaust-header-Manifold-for-07-08-09-Mercedes-Benz-E63-CLS63-8Cyl-AMG-Benz/152305830911?fits=Make%3AMercedes-Benz%7CModel%3AE63+AMG&epid=1282981837&hash=item23 76228bff:g:wUQAAOSw9r1WAiNJ&vxp=mtr

Also, I can't say how they would be fore the E63 but for the E55 the fitment was very poor. Took some cutting and griding on the back of the mid section to get it mated up to the stock rear. (Headers were all good though.) If i didn't have the car on a lift in a well equipped shop it would have been a much more immense pain in the ***. That being said it's a good value for those that can do the work to get them to fit. For any one trying to do this on jack stands I would stay away from XSP/PB5.

I miss read the OBX part.

I put emphasis on fitment but we'll see if they listen. I would be willing to give them a shot considering 'name brand' manifolds are 3k+.

Probably better off going with the OBX then. They have good feedback for the 55. Not worth gambling on the XSP quality if there is already a relatively inexpensive alternative (comparatively) that you already have good feedback for.

for m113 We sell the XSP for those that dont want to spend the $1400 for Maximizer, or $2100 for MBH. They are not the quality of either Max or MBH, but they are $975, and that is their advantage.

We also sell OBX M156 headers, they are cheaper, but not as cheap as you would expect. again, these are for the people not willing to spend the 3k for ARH, Agency power or MBH. The other option is the shorty headers we have for m156,

There are a number of choices out there for you already that have lots of feedback, if there were to be another set of m156 headers introduced into the market It would take some time and testing before you could have a solid answer on whether or not they really fit, you would be gambling that chance for a few hundred dollars. M156 header install is not something you want to have to do twice.

We do try to offer every option available for the M156 and M113K platform, We have 5 brands of M156 headers alone, so there is alot to choose from. you can check them out on our website here:

the OBX for M156 W211 fits perfectly...one thing to note is there is almost no room as the primaries are the large primaries so you may get some contact to body from time to time due just due space limitations. i think this only occurs at full lock.
