No traction with conti pro contact

just got conti pro contacts mounted and I am struggling with traction. If I roll into the throttle above 3000 RPM in 3rd the ESP looks like a disco ball. I had pilot sport run flats prior and never had this problem.

anyone have experience with this tire?

I ran the conti DWS. Nice quiet long lasting tire, but no grip.

Pilot ss tires have such good reviews as far as traction especially in the mb world. Why d hell did you switch?

Give them a couple hundred miles to wear in, but you went to an all-season Conti from a Michelin summer tire, what did you expect, better traction?

i certainly didn't expect to roast the tires at 3000 rpm and 1/2 throttle with an E63 that is almost stock. Oh well, you live and you learn.

thanks for the feedback

I had that tire many moons ago... awful. No traction at all. Been running Bridgestone Potenza S-04 Pole Positions for many sets now and love them. Pretty affordable too.

The S-04 is a great tire, most of the Bridgestone tires are excellent, and the S-04 isn't even the top of the line. I've run them on personal cars and loved them, I also swapped some Porsche and other high end customers over to them and had nothing but stellar responses.
