Car won't start
Alrighty, so my E55 decided to throw me a curveball. Brought her out for the summer and after maintenance and drove her for a day I parked the car. Next day I went to start her up to take her to the shop to get the suspension upgraded and some power parts dash lights up but no turn over from the engine. Thought maybe the starter took a crap even though I never got any signs of It failing before. I took It to the closest firestone and they changed the starter and the guy said It was still giving some trouble with starting. He said the codes were coming up that the SAM connection was was being interrupted (I will get more info from him in the morning). They decided that the aux battery was faulty. Long story short I picked up the car yesterday. Drove It around a couple times for the day then parked It. In the evening i tried to start It again and then same issue. Lights on but no cranking. One of the twists is that my ignition (EIS) is shaky the ring seem to have fallen off somehow and didn't see It in the car. I ordered the ring last night. What do you guys think? Loose connection? Defective EIS?

some things to consider??
you mentioned codes were check, were there any codes as related to the crankshaft position sensor?? when and if has it been replaced? usually if that sensor is bad, the car has a very hard time starting. that ignition "ring" for the EIS, that ring keeps that ignition key in place and there is a connector behind it, the connector may not have a "perfect" seal behind it there, worth checking into it, you should be able to remove the underside panel and reach up and make sure the connections is on tight and snug. personally, i just had the fuel pump relay/fuse go out on me and this put on the side of the road. the car just cut off while i was driving on the interstate. this does not sound like what you have due to fact you have a hard time starting after it has sat. ?? but while you are at it, just check on the fuel pump fuse and relay, in the trunk under the panel by the battery and the relay is in the passenger wheel well behind the side panel in the trunk also. good luck and hope you get it sorted!!!
