Every now and again I wake up on a Saturday to a post like this, from someone who claims to be in the know. Equipped with there own alternative fact they cant wait to unload what they feel is a huge truth bomb. Its completely laughable. This guy Alan obviously has no idea that those BP5 headers are a direct copy of the ARH headers, but made in China.
Alan, its clear you do not know what it takes to make a header system. You clearly dont know the equipment and tool investment that a company like mine has made. You clearly dont know the grades of stainless steel here in America and that there really isn't a Chinese equivalent that matches the quality of steel made in the USA. Your clearly have no idea the price of US made stainless steel vs China. Chinese steel is so cheap the President slapped a tariff on import chinese steel. This might be the biggest one of all though, You clearly dont know what a skilled craftsman's hourly wage is in America. We have been building headers of Mercedes long before you even knew what an AMG Mercedes was. Keep our name out of your BS story. You have no idea what it takes to build a set of MBH headers. You have never seen our headers in person, let alone put them in your hands. You have no idea the investment we have made in a car that have very small production numbers. You also have ZERO idea about our pricing structure, and how much money we make or dont make on a set of headers.
IF you have to constantly tell people you are an honest person, its means your credibility is not yet established. We have put the work in to establish a good name name and product that exceeds the quality standards of anything on the market. So keep your libel and writen defamation away from here. When you have experience with our product you are free to write a review. However when you do not have any experience and run your mouth about things you have no idea about thats when we will take exception.
Its pretty funny that you are trying to tell people not to buy MBH headers and they should buy PB5 headers that are leaky and of much lesser quality. But youre here to drop a truth bomb, but seem to have no idea where the flange on the header is. I'll tell you the header flange bolts to your engine. It is not your collector. Seems youre the right person to drop such a truth bomb here on MBworld. Please keep us out of your post since you have ZERO experience with our headers.

Yeah 1000 to 1500 per wheel for HRE wheels. Why do that when you can get wheels for much cheaper lol.

I have a couple of comments. I am sure you can buy cheap headers and you will make hp gains but do you want to put cheap headers or anything cheap on your AMG? You stated they rub, bingo you get what you pay for, no thanks. I come from a family of military officers... My point here is when you purchase cheap, you are most likely buying Chinese. China is not our friend they are our foe. Every-time you buy a product that is Chinese made you are supporting their military industrial complex, not me. Chinese aluminum, steel etc. is absolute trash. I worked for DoD and we would not touch it. They come with fake certification because they do not and can't certify. Lastly, you keep repeating our cars are "old". No they aren't, a 34 Ford is old. A 60's Ferrari GTO is old. My question to the OP is would you advocate putting cheap Chinese parts on the Classic Ferrari because of its age?
I'll buy hand crafted headers from an American company and gladly pay for it. Thanks...

Aww I missed it. I presume this is about the fact you have to put serious hours into creating a jig for a product that will fit perfectly and seal completely, use thick enough, high quality materials and back purge it properly. Yep you get what you pay for. Sometimes you are lucky to get a cheaper product that appears to work perfectly but only the test of time can say for sure in those rare situations and it doesn't often end up well.

For me its all about tolerances, how happy am i to be the percentage that fails, a big contributor is after sale service particularly warranty handling..
plenty of people have good experiences with chrap crap but a lot more have problems than those with higher quality product.
wish id seen the OP always happy to read some lolz
