Was this a one time issue? Did you check your belts? How fast were you going? What was your RPM range when this happened? Have you done any work to the car recently?

Belts usually make that noise on the blower cars.

Mine does it too after flooring it, then abrupt lift. I think it's the belt, possibly slipping but not sure.

Did you replace the belt when you fixed the pulley? Chances are, it's more worn out than the steel bearing. The tensioner is also the same age.

the belt was in good condition.

it always happens before shift most of time, but I’m hearing it after **** once it shifts from 6000 rpm when I let off before it shifts. When I hear it I’m hoping I’m not hearing my tranny slipping.

take your sc belt off and do a couple of runs and see if noise is gone,,, if so get a belt wrap kit
