Battery & Fuel Question

I noticed in the past couple of days I turn the car on and the exhaust smell has gotten strong, fuel smell not sure how that happened all of the sudden. There are no lights on the dash the car seems to be driving just fine. As well what I also noticed different was I go to turn the car on in the morning a couple of days ago as well and the clock on the left cluster was adjusting, to the wrong time but it was moving making the clicking sound adjusting itself but to the wrong time, thought it was weird. Has this happened to anyone? What is the proper battery voltage on the cluster before starting the car mine reads 12.4 volts.

Voltage sounds fine but you need a proper battery tester if you want to know the actual health of the battery, voltage only indicates its not 100% dead. Have you had the fuel pump assembly's replaced? I can't remember from your other threads.

I did the recall about 4 months ago for the fuel tank. Ran fine afterwards not sure why the exhaust is starting to give a strong fuel smell. Maybe I need to take it to my mechanic see if there are any codes that's just not triggering a service engine light. With the amount of miles I have on the car I wouldn't be surprised if the cats are starting to go, 144k.

Check the clock on the radio to see if that changed. The clock on the dash will adjust to the radio clock.

ya just checked it, it shows 2 hours ahead as well and matches up with the clock in the cluster. Not sure why or how it all of the sudden decided to adjust 2 hours ahead for no reason.

My wifes car (E500) went an hour ahead last sunday. The door didn't close all the way due to the seat belt getting caught in it. It was like that for about two hours so I figured it was a voltage thing. It came with a new battery when we bought it, but it's just standard, not an AGM.
