Help Identifying This Pump? It’s Whining?
I just started my car for the first time and it sounds great! But, there is what looks to be a pump that starts to whine/whistle? I can feel it vibrating and whistling when I put my hand on it. It sits to the left side of the engine bay if you are looking toward the windshield. It says Bosch 058 PAD 12
What is it?
What is it?

I believe I figured it out. It’s another auxiliary water pump. I guess it’s not normal for it to whine/whistle so I will have to replace it.

Now I’m kinda confused. I am reading that if you replace the coolant you have to wait for the thermostat to open and keep filling. Does anybody think it’s just the pump starving for coolant? Does it need to circulate through the thermostat to get to the secondary pump? I had just started putting coolant in the reservoir. Thanks

I just put s brand new 010 in. The pump in the picture sits on top to the left in the engine bay. I let the car run yesterday and it quieted down but still makes noise. I’m taking it in to the shop today.
