New Here

I started looking for an E55 to go with my SRT6 around April and finally found the perfect one in October. Pretty much exactly what I was looking for and only 3 miles from my house. I am more active on Facebook, but I sometimes post here and on the Crossfire Forum. Anyway, I have the E55 all taken apart while I work on some much needed projects. New headlight lenses, spoiler repaint, valve cover gaskets & breather RTV. New one step colder spark plugs. Just installed 4 new tires as well.

I do pretty much all the work on my own cars. Takes me forever sometimes, but it gets done. I do know my way around the M112K / M113K engine.

I am pretty used to the various mods because my 3 SRT6's have basically the same engine minus two cylinders. However, I do have a lot to learn still. Luckily my E55 is already done so I don't really have to worry about mods too much. That's not to say I won't change anything, but I am certainly not in a hurry. I plan to take it to the track this weekend, just for fun. We'll see how I do, ha! To say I am nervous is an understatement. I normally get nervous this close to track day, but with this car there is just so much more that could go wrong than with my SRT6.

Yes, I own 6 Chrysler Crossfires. They are awesome because they are made in Germany with 85% Mercedes parts. Incredible cars badged as Chryslers. But they are not really a Chrysler.

Picture below of my car from the only Photoshoot I have done so far. Once I get the spoiler back on and the headlights finished, I plan to take some nice pictures of the car.

if you have extensive experience on SRT6's then you really only need to be introduced to the airmatic suspension. When everything is good, it's great. Always replace with Arnott, though. It has a lifetime warranty.

I'm not sure about the exhaust world on the M112k but it's a worthwhile investment in the M113k's. Long tube headers are an enormous improvement, plus they drastically improve that v8 sound.

Otherwise it's stuff you should already be familiar with: cooling upgrades, pulleys, plugs, tunes, motor mounts, etc.

Thanks, yes I have already been introduced to the airmatic unfortunately. I had to replace the driver's strut before I could even drive it. Yes it was Arnott. I was told the passenger one was replaced with an Arnott but it looks OE. So really not sure. Rears have never been replaced to my knowledge.

My car actually has long tube headers already. Eurocharged I think. My car is already "done," but I am considering going stacked or even doing meth injection. But not anytime soon. I need to spend some time researching to find out what is safe for my car at this point. Everyone I have talked to has told me to leave it alone short of maybe a retune or a Weistec supercharger. Neither of those are in my current plans for the car. I am getting the hint from people that it was done as much as it really needs to be and I should focus my energies on enjoying it. :) That is easier said than done!
