Just bought a 2007 W211 E63
 

just bought a 2007 E63.

one day morning before i start off, i noticed the right front is significantly lower than left. around 10-20mm i think.

when i intentionally try to pay attention to this, the car swings right automatically on highway, obviously....... and the "check tyre, tyre pressure low" came frequently, the "stop car, car too low" came once... but tyre pressure is ok.

a workshop suspect it is airmatic suspension strut and suggested to replace both front and rear strut, but dealer thinks it is the level sensor and asked me to replace both front level sensors and connecting rod (the rod connect to the sensors)...

bought sensors first (010-542-77-17), both front left and right. installed.. problem solved.... the right is like 2-3mm higher than left now.. not sure if i need to “calibrate the sensor" at the dealer...

the sunroof motor need to be replaced...
need to clean the valve as there is one error according to the diagnostics....
plan to replace the engine mount as it vibrates a bit (you can see the front seats head support vibrate when the car is stationary)....
a bit leaking on transmission oil but dealer thinks no big deal...
some irrigating noise from rear when slowing passing uneven road.. will deal with that late..
both front door keyless entry don't work.... the rear works most of time but not always..


other than that..happy with the car so far..

As far as the Drivers Front Keyless Go door handle, you must purchase from either the dealership or from a Mercedes Benz Parts distributor. I replaced mine a few months ago, because the handle was working intermittently.
As far as leaks go, any leak is a problem, as small leaks turn into big leaks if the issue isn't rectified. Check out these Youtube videos to diagnose your sunroof issue. https://www.youtube.com/results?sear...+sunroof+motor

Your ride height sensors require re-calibration using Star Diagnostics. You can also lower your car via Star as well.

You need the entire exterior door handle assembly. The door handle has a sensor the communicates with the key fob, that unlocks the door when you grab the handle.

the shop think it needs a valve clearance...

Check engine light comes from crank shaft hall sensor.. replaced and no issue so far..


Want to ask the forum, there is this constant noise from the back of rear seats.. when car is moving very slowly on an uneven road...it sounds like plastic bending, twisting.... i put down the arm rest in the middle of rear seats, use my hand to press the plastic plate behind the armrest in the back seat, it produces the same sound....

i suspect is the entire plastic behind the back seat that the issue, it is getting old and crisp....it is very annoying and i don't know how to fix it , any idea?

I got a spare keyless door handle for passenger front if you’re interested. I was planning to keep it for a rainy day but let me know; these handles cost $200 plus to replace. My handle is silver but can be painted to match.

Typically only the drivers door handle goes bad, as that is the most used handle on the car. I need to get a drivers side rear passenger door handle, as mine will not lock or unlock when grabbing the handle. Unless the car was already unlocked, then it functions as it should. The entire job will cost me $500, but it's not that passing right now.

i believe the front and rear handle is interchangeable

I am not aware of that, I will need to do a little research.

Im going to switch my rear handle to front door and see if they’re interchangeable. Looks like it’ll work. Will update
