550cc or 630cc injectors
hi just wondered what the best setup for injectors would be for my e55 amg current mods 74mm fixed mid lenghts race cats killer chiller adding mods 82mm throttle body looped fuel rail 70mm fixed water meth what would be the best suited injectors for the added mods. I understand I’m on the limit with standard ones running a 74mm fixed. |
not sure you need bigger injectors, who did your tune for the fixed ?

Car was already running current mods. I think it was eurocharged. Not sure. People have told me that the stick ones will be maxed out on a 74mm pulley. As I want to go to a 70mm surely I will need bigger ones. |
You are indeed reaching the point of needing bigger injectors. I would definitely recommend them before adding mods. 550cc injectors are big enough for well over 800 crank horsepower, which you will never come close to with an E55, so there is no reason to use 630cc (assuming you don't plan on running E85). In addition, since most people go with 550cc, that is what the tuners have the most experience tuning for.

OP, there is no such thing as injector too big. But you need to speak to your tuner as he would have to map for that. |
630 for sure, thats a pretty heavy set up
