supercharger coolant shutoff valves ?

hello -- anyone know what do the shutoff valves (#13 and #14) and how they work ? do you really need them ? - i would think they are just another choke point for fluid to restrict flow and reduce cooling ?

Those are air injection valves for cat light off... emissions stuff nothing to do with coolant.

Nope sorry of coolant or water got in it wasnt from the car.it was from an outaide source. They are air injection for emissions is all
