Battery? Or something bigger
https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mbw...c83d36713b.png hey everyone, just went to check my battery voltage and this came on :/ now the car starts up and drives fine, no red error messages or anything but I had a few question on what I should do! I have no idea when the battery was replaced. Ps- the car is driven twice a week and the message does go away after driving and won’t come on if the car is driven daily 1- replace both batteries and which brand if so 2- charge this one up Thanks Deven |
The main battery is getting weak. best to change them both if you've got the dough. AGM. Interstate has a good one if you order it. My dealer only wanted $160ish so I got it. I think it took 12 years for my original battery to start doing that. I wetted out the reserve battery with some fresh acid and it held 14v overnight so I left it. It's still in there, I forgot about it, really need to get that changed.

Also, when the aux battery goes out it’ll show a Red warning sign correct? |
Spoke to a Benz tech, found out this is NORMAL for any 55k car that sits over time. He said the aux message will show red and that’s urgent where as this can idle or be driven for 15+ minutes and fix itself, he did reccomend going to somewhere that offers a free battery test to see what it’s at but more times than not it’s sorted. |
