Ambient Air Temp sensor
I have 2014 CLA 250, do I need to take the bumper off to get to the outside air temp sensor? I appreciate the help and as soon as I can figure out this website I will post this in the proper channel. |
Why are you posting this question in the W211 E55/E63 section? When there is a section for the CLA!

The E63 w211 sensor is located behind the driverside wheel well and front bumper. No, you dont have to remove the bumper on the w211....but I have no idea where yours is and how to access it.

That is incorrect. The W211 E63 the air temperature probe/sensor is located in the driver side plastic fog light cover. I know this for a fact, because mine became dislodged and was resting near the engine given false temp readings. I had to install some adhesive to keep it in place. |

Guys, the question is if the bumper needs to be remove to get to the temp sensor on a CLA, 2014 no less. Not where it is or how to get to temp meter on a E63! Let’s stay on subject fellas  |
Lol your right.....sorry👍🏽 |
So just out of interest, do the other forum sub-sections get incorrectly selected on a regular basis?
It seems like there is at least a couple per week. The w211 AMG forum is in the middle of the AMG section; can you really find yourself here by accident? |
Re
being new at this, I tried to post a thread and was prompted to create an account. Once the account was created the thread was posted. It wasn’t until after that that I realised it was in the wrong place. But I’m not sure how I could have handled it differently. I gues I could have hung around the site learning how it is all setup in the event that one day I would have a question to post. apologetically I didn’t. |
Thanks for the feedback. Sounds like something a site admin should look into. It would be a shame if new members were driven away after a crappy reception from the wrong sub-forum. Welcome anyway. This is the correct forum, took me a while to find it too

https://mbworld.org/forums/cla-coupe-c117-176/ The forum software doesn't just post things in random places. It is 100% user error when something is posted in the wrong place. |

He was in the wrong section when he tried to make the thread most likely. Why he was looking for info on his car in this section is a mystery.
