E55 amg heat exchanger
Was wanting to know what the best heat exchanger to go for was?
|
I would say the VRP secondary heat exchanger would be a good start, you keep your factory one and get increased cooling surface area as well as the capacity of the system, probably the best bang for your buck. VRP also offers a replacement heat exchanger with more volume. Make sure your intercooler pump is at least an updated Bosch 010 or better for lowest IATs.

E55 heat exchanger
Ok I was wanting to go with the biggest( best ) I can I have got a different supercharger pulley and custom tune but was wanting to go with more mods in the near future is vrp still what you would recommend ??

PLM has a new larger heat exchanger that I believe requires no modifications to install. I was going to purchase that one when I get a chance. It's about 2.2l I believe. Then you can also had the secondary vrp heat exchanger too.

I'm pretty happy with the dTK heat exchanger. 3L capacity, flows great. I run that with two CWA50s to cool a 72mm fixed pulley for street and spray meth at the track. The welds aren't the cleanest and you have to relocate the horn. I had to trim a little bit off of the back of the hood latch bracket to get it to clear but overall I'm real happy with it.

Thoughts on the Eurocharged HE?

+1 for the new PLM. The original PLM was easy to install, no drilling or bumper modifications required in contrast to the other options. Shardul can get you one.

I was thinking about the vrp stage 3 cooling kit is this any good ??

thanks guys I’m in New Zealand and getting any performance upgrades over here is pretty few and far between. What’s the link or how’s the best way to go about buying the plm xl he ?
|
Yep just send a private message. He mailed me one over to NZ. Unfortunately shipping will always be a killer on parts.
