What required the engine to be replaced?

The previous engine had blown. Unfortunately, it happened to me after a few hours of owning it. The previous owner didn't build it correctly and had a series of issues which have been all corrected as such as poor cooling, dead pumps and ect.. The new engine is from a 2005 S55 and it's strong & healthy.

Looks like this car is For Sale locally. I tried to reach out to the poster with questions (ie is this the same car? why was the post edited when the CL ad went up? Very rare car and all I have seen are mid 20s so this a a good deal at any maintenced mileage. I can find g55s easier than a 55 wagon.

According to the AMG lounge there are less than 200 in the US. I have seen 3 on this site totaled since then.
