No traction with Yohohama Avan Neova R’s
I recently bought these tires to get traction but ive noticed my traction is much worse then my Perelli Centurato P1 Plus tires. Do these tires have bad traction issues then all seasons and they ha e to be really warmed up. I didnt notice this issue when I’ve have other sticky tires in the past on other cars i had.

The Yokohamas are a softer compound, and also having a less rigid sidewall (I believe the Pirellis you are referring to are run flats?)...so prima facie the Yokohamas should give you better traction...not sure why it would seem the opposite.

The traction is pretty bad on them, im hoping with heat they are wayyyy opposite. The perelli’s i have were 35k tires meaning thats what there advertised to last till. Very basic long lasting tire. There not run flats. I just did a quick wide open throttle get them to spin got them a bit warm but zero grip spins bad. Guess im back on another tire hunt.

How do they perform exactly? I think these cars just have way too much torque for RWD and open diff. I am running Bridgestone's premium summer tire and 1st gear is still useless. 2nd will be fine at WOT but only on perfect dry roads with an absolutely straight steering wheel. Add even the slightest turn and one tire will be spinning. Next mod quaife.

New tires aren't exactly ready to go at mile 1, the very outside layer is slick so it can be released from the mold without sticking to it, they need about 50-100 miles before you have all available traction. Asphalt and tire temperature are the next key players. Then there's technique, if you just floor it right off the line the E55 will roast any tire. Even my C55 with it's kompressorless M113 would obliterate it's Nitto NT555s from a standing start, shift into 2nd, keep burning through it.
Just to give you a reference with Michelin Pilot Super Sport on the E55 I cannot go WOT in 1st without wheelspin, 2nd gear is zero wheel spin unless I just floor off the line and shift into 2nd while spinning or just floor it off the line in comfort mode in 2nd gear. I have practiced launching it with a timing device, to get the best times I brake torque it, release the brake quickly and slowly feed it more throttle so that you are wide open by about 4000rpm. I still get a hint of wheelspin but even with traction control on it doesn't intervene.
