2004 E55 and 2018 Challenger SRT scatpack
Catalytic Converter Bypass
Hi, anyone here has Bypassed the Cat Converters? Can it be done? Thank you

2001 E320 Wagon, 2006 LBZ Silverado, 2007 E63 (sold), 2001 E55 (sold)
You can use some HVAC ducting that's available at Home Depot or Lowe's to bypass the cats. Works great and isn't too expensive. Grab some and take the car to a muffler shop and they'll set you up. It's not legal, but if you pay cash most places will do it "off the books".

I've given up on selling it so you guys are stuck with me!

I would consider trading for the right C126 560SEC though. Always wanted one and prices are getting to that point...

Just so you are aware MOST of the silencing is done by the cats. I removed all on my SL55 and left the 4 cans which have no back pressure. It didn't sound great just loud under full throttle so a had a straight through muffler built for the centre section which took the nasty edge off the noise. Happy now.
