Engine misfire cylinder #1
Doing my 2 week Scan of my car’s modules I came across this on Cylinder #1. What is even more weird is the check engine light is NOT illuminated on the Dash.
Has anyone had this happen before? My 2006 E55 has 44,000 miles on it and has rough idling at random times as well including at cold start.

Has anyone had experience with this issue?
it’s only cylinder #1 and the fact the check engine light isn’t on is absolutely baffling.
I’m making a diagnostic checklist for this weekend and would appreciate any feedback.

Yes. Two weeks ago my iCarsoft scanner showed a stored #4 misfire code. I immediately hooked up STAR and it showed no misfire code.
This was at my 200,000 miles service.

my code says fault indicator on but no CEL.
I will clear it and check in a week to see what happens

Update:
sometimes my E55 will have a rough idle and sometimes it will idle fine. Having the AC on makes no difference. Still no CEL.
could that be a sign I need to replace the Crankshaft position sensor that I’ve read about?

@INDYbenzes - I think you have your answer in @bbirdwell comment that his iCarsoft has reported misfires and MB Star does not. Some scanners are better at being accurate than others, but none are as dependable as Star. I suspect the absent CEL confirms this too. Your rough idle could be as simple as poor engine mounts.
