Kleemanns E55K3...

May be it has been posted before...but this kit is the BEST..

KLEEMANN E 55 K3

610 hp, 835 Nm and a limited top speed of 300 km/h

KLEEMANN boosts power output of the current top-of-the-line E-Class to 610 hp and a peak torque of 835 Nm with a new stage III upgrade for the Mercedes-Benz E 55 AMG. The acceleration from standstill to 100 km/h is a rocketing 4,0 seconds and the electronically limited top speed of 300 km/h turns the KLEEMANN-tuned E 55 AMG into one of the world’s fastest four-door salons.

The new high performance sedan from KLEEMANN follows in the footsteps of its legendary predecessor, which in unique ways combined the Comfort Power of KLEEMANN with unparalleled elegance and flexibility to provide an incredible driving experience. The first KLEEMANN E 55 K – based on the E-Class of the W 210 model series – showed the world a whole new level of power and high performance for sporty four-door salons. 338 km/h was the record-breaking world record, which was established in 2002 on the Mercedes-Benz test track in Papenburg/Germany – a record that still remains to be beaten.

The K3 upgrade for the 5,5 compressor engine is a modified compressor drive system which utilizes a larger crankshaft pulley with OE damper to increase boost pressure. Modifications to the engines ECU, sport air filters and camshafts, newly developed headers in stainless steel and a complete exhaust system with four steel catalysts complete the package.

The results of the modifications are exceptional. Compared to a standard E 55 AMG with 476 hp and 700 Nm the KLEEMANN E 55 K3 delivers 610 hp and even more impressive the peak torque is 835 Nm from 2.000 rpm.

But what good is this overflow of power if it cannot be put to the ground? Therefore KLEEMANN has fitted the car a Limited Slip Differential (LSD) with applies a 60 present lock-up ratio between the rear wheels, meaning one wheel has 60 present of the drive power, the other 40 present. At no time will only one wheel receive all the engines power thus reducing wheel spin and lowering accelerations times. Testing has shown that a W211 E 55 AMG will drop a bit over 0.3 seconds from zero to 100 km/h with this modification alone.

This means that, the E 55, after the KLEEMANN power treatment and the LSD-modification is capable of accelerating from zero to 100 km/h in just 4 seconds flat and if the wire is kept tight the 200 km/h mark is passed after just 11,8 seconds on your way to the electronically limited top speed of 300 km/h.

This level of extreme performance requires the best from suspension, brakes and aerodynamics. To this end Kleemann has developed exceptional upgrades in all three categories.

The performance potential of the KLEEMANN E 55 K3 requires a sublime contact to the various and sometimes demanding road surfaces. Hence the car is fitted with KLEEMANN TS6 light-alloy wheels in 9Jx20 on the front axle and 10Jx20 on the rear axle. The tires come from our technology partner Dunlop in the form of the SP 9000 high-performance tires in size 245/30 ZR20 for the front and 285/25 ZR20 for the rear. The special shape of the rim star augments the aerodynamics of the car as it exhausts the air from underneath. In addition to reducing negative lift this also increases cooling of the brakes and thereby adding to the handling and stability of the vehicle.

Behind these large wheels the KLEEMANN E 55 K3 is equipped with a high-performance brake system with 396 mm vented and cross-drilled discs and six-piston calipers on the front axle and 342 mm vented and cross-drilled discs with four-piston calipers on the rear. Together with the electro-hydraulic SBC (Sensotronic Brake System) of the E-Class, this highly effective brake system delivers the amount of deceleration power one would expect from a vehicle of this stature.

To further indulge the cars driving dynamics KLEEMANN has fitted the E 55 K3 with an electronic module for the air-sprung suspension, which lowers the ride height by 20 millimetres and thereby reduces body roll and increases the cars turn-in capability.

To improve high speed stability the KLEEMANN designers have fitted the car with an aerodynamic packaged that maintains the discreet, yet sporty character of the Kleemann E 55 K3. The KLEEMANN front bumper with integrated spoiler and air ducts for cooling of the front brakes not only looks stunning, it also reduces lift on the front axle and thereby improving directional stability at high speed. Its rear counterpart is attached to the stock bumper and makes provision for the KLEEMANN sport exhaust system with one Trapezoid shaped tailpipe on each side.

As always, Kleemann offers a wide range of customization for the interior. Accessories such as the ergonomically shaped sport steering wheel and chrome tread plates with the Kleemann logo are just some of the options available. And off course the customer can choose from a wide range of leather and alcantara interiors in various colours and mixtures.

awesome read

the supercharging route taken by Benz on their AMG vehicles really has made modding a lot easier for some of these companies

I think the Stage 2 at 594 hp for $7,500 is a better deal. That's a whole lot more money for 16 hp.

Do they have a Kleeman shop in Florida or do you take it to a Kleeman certified mechanic (if there is such a thing)? I'd hate to spend all that jack and get a shoddy installation. I gather you have a very limited warranty on parts and labor?

What exactly is a stage 2? Isn't a stage 1 ecu and pulley?

I think 21K to an upgrade worths 159 Hps is not too bad comparing....30k for Dinan upgrade on M5 for just 70HP...+ around 15-20K for a Blower....

but yes I have to agree stage 2 for 7.5K...is good deal...

Keep us updated and post some results...
